WAZAABI - An easy way to build rich client applications based on Eclipse RCP, XUL and J2EE

WAZAABI AT A GLANCE

The emergence of the rich client is due to the technology and intellectual evolution coalescence. The light client, democratized by the Web, seems to reach its limits near users more and more demanding about the ergonomic of their software. Indeed, in their personal and professional life, they use software increasingly more convivial (mailing, mobility, multi-media applications, text handling, etc). Desktop applications have a richness and responsiveness that has seemed out of reach on the Web.

WAZAABI makes it possible to establish within the same application the advantages of two technologies. It ensures facilitated installation and updating of the Web and the ergonomics richness of desktop application.

WAZAABI is an open source project that delivers significant benefits for building Eclipse RCP based Java and J2EE rich client applications. Wazaabi includes a GUI framework that brings XUL to Eclipse RCP plug-in developpers and a set of components that link the client-side XUL based viewers and forms to server-side business components.
